Carwen Ltd, a diversified construction company was established by Carsten Jorgensen in 1993 as a residential general contractor.
Since then, the family owned and operated business has evolved into two distinct divisions: Woodwork and Dirtworks.
Edward Dalziel, BA, ROWP
Co-Owner
Ed was born and raised in the interior of British Columbia. After years outside of the interior, he has proudly made his way back.
In 2012 he graduated from UBC Okanagan with a degree in Economics and Political Science. During the summer while in University, Ed worked in Alberta gaining experience and learning everything he could about civil construction. After that, he worked for many years as a sole proprietor running equipment in a wide variety of settings.
In 2018 Ed obtained his ROWP Installer designation, and in 2020 completed the education portion of the ROWP Maintenance Provider designation.
His extensive experience in the industry combined with this education are what Ed thinks fuels his largest asset - forward thinking. Which also shine through in his professional goals; continue to build a family legacy and leave a positive, lasting impact on the community.

As the founder of Carwen Ltd. and a believer of lifelong learning, Carsten has completed numerous technical and business development courses such as business accounting, organizational behaviour, and computer aided design. These courses have equipped him with with a strong background in leadership, and entrepreneurial/project management that he combines with 40+ years of experience in the construction industry.
Carsten believes hard work and attention to detail are key to completing projects successfully, and to customers’ satisfaction. Even though he started building at a young age, Carsten's passion is still playing in the dirt.
